Background
Geertje Hegeman works at the Institute for Transport Studies at
the University of Leeds. She is working on projects involving research
on the impact of Intelligent Transport Systems, using the simulator
and data collected from field trials. Before she came to Leeds,
she worked at a transport consultancy in The Netherlands. At this
consultancy, she worked at simulation projects on the influences
of new traffic-management tools on traffic flow and capacity. Her
main interests are in the field of traffic safety and modelling.
