One of the most prominent international events is the Transportation Research Board Annual Meeting (TRBAM), held in Washington D.C. Now in its 94th year, researchers from ITS are regular attendees at what is one of the largest conferences for those engaged with transport research.
TRB is one of six major divisions of the U.S National Research Council - a non-profit institution providing services to the government, the public, and the scientific and engineering communities. First established in 1920, TRB is the focal point for transport research in the U.S and is supported by supported by state transportation departments and federal agencies including the U.S. Department of Transportation.
