Transferable skills
One of the reasons why ITS students are highly employable is the broad skills-set they develop during their studies - skills which are highly valued by employers in the transport sector and beyond.
Alongside transport-specific knowledge, ITS students develop a range of transferable professional skills, enabling them to make a smooth transition into the workplace.
Presentation skills | Team working |
Listening & interpersonal skills | Reflective learning |
Qualitative & quantitative analysis | Research methods |
Report writing | Information technology |
Using information sources | Time management |
In addition to the skills which students develop within their ITS programme, the University of Leeds offers a comprehensive range of support and training. This runs in parallel to academic courses and is designed to equip students with the relevant skills required at each stage, from arrival to final submission.
