Course fees cover tuition, use of library and computing facilities but not books, accommodation or the optional European Field Trip.

Part-time fees are payable in each of the first 2 years, irrespective of the number of years taken to complete the programme. Students who complete during their third year of study (as recommended for Masters programmes) are also subject to an annual registration fee (approx. £150) at the start of year 3 and any subsequent year. Fees for the part-time Certificate programme assume a period of study of no longer than 12 months.

All fees must be paid before a student can register. Self-financing students may pay annual fees in two instalments - the first is payable at enrolment and the second in late January. Students who are supported by their governments, employers, or other sponsors should provide a letter from their sponsor addressed to the University confirming that the fees will be paid directly. Sponsors cannot pay by instalments. All fees are reviewed annually and are subject to increase.

Accommodation costs

Starting a new course or adapting to life in a new country can be both exciting and challenging. We understand the importance of finding the right living environment to help you settle, study effectively and enjoy a good social life. Leeds has plenty of accommodation for students, both University owned and private sector. This represents good value for money and reflects a lower cost of living than London and much of the south of England. For further information please visit the Accommodation Office.
