ecoDriver project

In a series of videos for ecoDriver, project co-ordinator Professor Oliver Carsten explains the objectives of this European Commission funded research, and its wider implications.

The videos address wider contextual issues linked to the widespread adoption of greener driving technologies and behaviours – such as the role of government, whether driver behaviour technology an invasion of privacy, and why advancements in autonomous vehicles require prompt strategic planning.

The videos include those filmed at the TomTom Telematics EcoDriving Conference. TomTom is one of the twelve consortium members drawn from eight European countries, and have launched OptiDrive 360 the first commercial product emerging from the project.
