Institute for Transport Studies (ITS)

Events

The Institute runs a variety of events throughout the year, designed for those who are interested in developing their knowledge of transport.

The events range from short hour-long seminars to week-long conferences or training courses.    Many of the events are free to attend, such Friday Seminars, whereas others such as CPD courses involve a delegate fee.   Details of each event are posted on the ITS website, but the most common categories of event are:

  • Friday Seminars - specialist topics from ITS researchers, visitors and guest speakers
  • CPD short courses – for those working in the transport sector
  • Guest lectures - forming part of the ITS Masters programmes
  • Academic  conferences  - arranged by or hosted at ITS. 

Forthcoming Events  

24-26 June 2012:  International Sustainable Development Research Conference.  Academics from ITS and the University of Leeds will contribute to the stream ‘Sustainable Transport: Innovation & Integration’.
