Queen's Anniversary Prize

The Institute for Transport Studies has received royal recognition by winning a prestigious Queen's Anniversary Prize for Higher and Further Education.

The award was made to ITS for ‘sustained excellence: 40 years impact in transport research and teaching’.

The Queen’s Prize scheme is part of the honours system and confers the highest national recognition on the work of UK universities.

A delegation of ITS staff and students attended the prize giving ceremony at Buckingham Palace to receive the award in person from The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh.
